Super discouraged. Verbal score has dropped significantly. That is all.

Verbal Reasoning Test 5 = score of 11! Super pumped about the new score; however, I am looking for consistency. When reading a passage I am "visualizing" the story. If there is something I think I need to remember, like a silly fact, then I implement the technique from The Memory Book. Check this book out and reviewed it over the past week. I suggest you all do the same.

Verbal Test 1 = 4 (timed, no prep, and unfamiliar with the test)
Verbal Test 2 = 7 (timed by passage, review following each)
Verbal Test 3 = 8 (timed as a whole)
Verbal Test 4 = 6 (not really timed, did not review until all were completed)

After reading a passage I know if I am going to bomb it or not. For whatever reason, I cannot grasp a few things while I am reading. So, when question time hits, I do not feel comfortable with my answer selection. The passages that I do exceptionally well on, I breeze through them easily.

Studying for Verbal is very difficult; you feel deflated and confused.

Verbal Test 3 = Raw Score of 8. For whatever reason, I miss almost every question on two passages. Regardless, an 8 is much better than a Raw Score of 4 from 6 days ago.

Completed each section of Verbal Reasoning Two. I did not time myself for the whole section, but I did for each passage. My score improved over Verbal Reasoning One results. This time, I missed one, two or three consistently. Although, I did bomb one passage. Later tonight I will take a full timed practice test. Right now I am working through some Biology stuff.

One of the things I hate about social media is the lack of truth. From my experience, people tend to pump themselves up and pretend as though they have no struggles in life. This blog will be different. Although the MCAT is 1.5 years away, I took my first full verbal section sample via Exam Krackers 101. I scored a dismal 4. Yes, a 4! That is horrible! In retrospect I was super nervous, kept drifting away, and unsure of myself numerous times. Tonight I will walk through each passage and try to understand each answer. My goal is to score 10's consistently.

Prior to going out of town, I tentatively secured my financial aid package for the Post-Bac program. However, I need to call and ask about the Federal Work Study Program ("FWSP"). Considering my EFC, program eligibility is likely not an issue, but I am confused as to why they did not ask if I wanted to participate or automatically include it into the proposed package.

The FWSP is an attractive option for me because numerous positions exist within the medical school as a Lab Assistant or Research Assistant. It is important to note that the title alone can be misleading. The school, ranging from undergraduate to medical school, will post a short job description. Some job descriptions, in my opinion, do not fit the title at all. It must be a "resume building title."
